Did you know you can play laser tag in Wroclaw? Find more information in this post!
What is this laser thing anyway?
For those of you who have never heard about laser tag, I’ll explain it quickly. Laser tag is a game played with guns which fire infrared beams. Therefore each player must wear infrared sensitive targets (i.e. vest, headbands). Games are hosted indoors or outdoors. There are many types of matches, for instance team or solo deathmatch, capture the flag, base defense and more. Compared to paintball, laser tag is painless.
You can gather your friends (about 10-20 people) and make a reservation to have a whole arena just for yourselves. You can also go solo and join a random group of players.
How to prepare for laser game
First of all, wear comfortable clothes and take a spare t-shirt to change after playing. Drink lots of water because you’ll run, sweat and have fun. Remember to stay hydrated! In case you forget to bring your own drink, there are snack bars or vending machines in most laser tag places. Once you arrive in the arena of your choice, the staff will teach you how to use the equipment.

Do you want to feel like the hero of an action movie? In an escape room you will experience it in one hundred and twenty percent. Here, you can treat yourself to a miniature 60-minute epinephrine with prolonged action.
What is the genesis of the escape rooms? For such a relatively recent phenomenon, it is accompanied by surprisingly hot arguments about genesis. There are those who point to TV sources – game shows such as “Fort Boyard” or “The Crystal Maze”, whose participants – a bit like fairy tales or computer game users – have to perform further tasks and solve puzzles to get the keys to the treasury. Others see the origins of escape rooms rather in computer games, which were designed on a similar basis and which have a much longer history than television programs. Still others draw attention to the similarity of escape rooms with “survival horror” films, whose protagonist also has to solve puzzles to survive. This is the case in “Resident Evil”, but above all in “Cube”, where there is another element – cooperation. Here are six people locked in a strange room, must cooperate with each other to escape life and get out.
In escape rooms you can see the need for older popculture products, which are difficult to satisfy today in everyday situations. – Our ancestors had to head well thousands of years ago to fire or get food. Those who advised, had profits – a position in the group or recognition of the opposite sex. Today we are looking for a substitute for similar challenges – hence jungle expeditions, climbing in the mountains or forest survival. Escape room is the most intimate, safe option. With the fact that – unlike in the jungle – physical strength is irrelevant here. What counts is the use of what we have in mind. In addition, escape rooms give us the possibility of group activity. With this every day in Polish conditions is poor – employers rarely offer us the opportunity to jointly solve problems, and we treat such challenges with extreme caution. We are individualists, we have little trust in others. A visit to the escape room allows you to break it. Suddenly, it turns out that we really like working together – hence the success of similar businesses.
In Wrocław, the boom for the escape room games began about five or six years ago. At the time, I had the pleasure, together with my friends, to participate in such a game in one of the first locations in the capital of Lower Silesia. at the moment the offer is rich. On the groupon.pl website you can find a lot of different escape rooms, with different available scenarios and climates.
prices are varied but for about 80 to 120 zlotys we can play with friends up to six people
Room Escape is still a fairly new type of fun during which we can learn to cooperate and, by the way, have fun. The rooms themselves are constantly evolving and changing so we can not complain about boredom and fund our intriguing experiences with our friends.

Murals around us… Are you sometimes wondering around the city, looking at the grey and dirty walls of blocks and empty buildings? Are you even looking up while wondering via city? In Wroclaw there is a good reason for looking up and on the walls. There is a place on Roosevelt Street where it seems that murals are covering almost all the walls. This street is one of most unforgettable and absorbing experiences. But if you make sure to look around while walking around you’ll notice that murals in Wroclaw are quite common feature of the city, next to the dwarfs.
While coming by train to the city you can see one of the murals in Wroclaw, the painting of a woman sitting in a chair with the text “generally drama”. It’s probably one of mine favorite ones out there, maybe because artist could capture the tiredness and the air of overall lack optimism of the woman they painted.
On the crossroads with Braniborska street, near the Swiebodzki train station, there is unexpected painting covering not very high wall of the building with garages or stores. Another unexpected sight will meet us while wondering near Odra. In a small backyard between block of flats, there is some amazing painting covering another wall. It gives a simple yard quite a twist.
Of course, the Ruska street is one of the most famous and the most colorful places with murals in Wroclaw you can find. The whole backyard was turned into magical place with amazing and unforgettable paintings. Joined forces of the residents of the blocks around and Wroclaw’s artists from OKAP (Backyard’s Cultural Animation Center) created Murals on Ruska street.
They created something that’s definitely on all maps of murals in Wroclaw. Now this street is one of the most famous and attended places. What I do recommend is to walk around looking around. Not only for dwarfs which are attention grabbing but for murals in Wroclaw. Some of them are inspiring, some are quite obscure and some are simply beautiful making the city much more colorful.
Tamka Island is one of the smallest Odra islands. Art Hub was created on five levels: the space in the building is shared with artists and friendly initiatives. It is treated by the owner as an artistic project outside of the purpose of co-creating various events taking place there. Art Hub is to be a platform on which not only all artists can gather, but also act together. In the building, in addition to the studio, there is a club and a bar (cafe). The common part in which takes place weekend cultural events, has been renovated.
The remaining rooms are in turn renewed by the creators working in them. It is a combination of a club and space for rent for studios, and offices for artists. There is also a photo / video studio available in the building, Music studios, photo studios, event agency, art gallery or Capoeira Academy. As part of electro jam you can also listen to (or create yourself) live improvised electronics. And this is end of introduction word.
So first of all , where is Tamka? Tamka is in center, between Wroclaw University and Slodowa Island. Open Hour? Since 12:00 until last guests actually, sometimes we can go to the party at Friday evening, and get back home at Sunday afternoon.
Is there something to eat? Of course ! There is Pizza bar, open during day till 2 or 3 p.m. there is great bar, they have a lot of special drinks, if you like to try new taste– this place is for you. As on every beach bar, there is a beach, a lot of people is goes here barefoot. There are hamakoos too, so if you want take a nap, feel free and lay down.
Tamka is a place for everyone, for them who like to commune with art there is a lot of exhibition, for them who like party in every weekend plays new artist , for them who love to meet new interesting people, there is a lot of people with the same interests.

More and more beach bars are coming. It’s the perfect entertainment for young people as well as children. Many beach bars in Wroclaw concentrate not only young people, but also families with children. Unfortunately, such places also have their drawbacks, and which ones?

HEX Board Game Café – Dubuois 33/35b
And we are starting with a pub that is focused on board games. Hex is located in a back alley, and can be a little hard to find for the first time, but it is worth the search. When You enter Your eyes are greeted with a fair amount of tables. When You make your way to the bar area You will see several shelves filled with board games.
The choice is huge, so if You don’t have Your collection with You is the ideal place to go. Drinks wise You can have Your warm drinks like coffee and tea, colder beverages like water, juice, lemonade or coke are also available. As for something with alcohol there is a good choice of craft beers in addition to normal beer and drinks. As far as snacks go You can count on peanuts, toasts, or hot dogs to name just a few. Although You can find a table walking in from the street I highly recommend reserving one, as this is a very popular place, and there are many special events organized by the owners. Also don’t forget some sort of ID because it could be needed to borrow a game at the bar.

There are 3 pubs for gamers in Wroclaw, that I know of. If you are a gamer and want to spend quality time in a geeky place with your friends, Wroclaw has some very interesting options for you. Whether you want to organize a big meeting or just spontaneously go to a nerdy place, these are the places you can check out:
Padbar – the first pub for gamers in Poland
Padbar was founded in 2011. In time, it branched to three other cities. You can play here on an Xbox in beat’em ups and play FIFA with your friends, try the wide range of drinks and play board games for free. There’s also a Padbar Club. For 30 zlotys you can buy a membership card and gain points. For every 5 zł that you spend you gain points, that you can exchange for free drinks. I’ts good to make a reservation ahead of time, because of the sheer popularity of this place.
Location: Kazimierza Wielkiego Street 1 in Time’s building
Cybermachina was opened in back in 2015. It’s the largest chain of pubs for geeks in Poland, it has a total of 8 locations in the country. There’s a wide variety of drinks, that reference pop culture. They have Czech and regional beer, you can also eat some snacks and toasts. There are many consoles, arcade games and board games free of charge.
Cybermachina has game tournaments, as well as regular sporting events (such as football matches on TV). Sometimes they also organize small meetings for people working in the gaming industry in Wroclaw. They are called Pog(R)adajmy and you have to check their Facebook page for more details. You have keep in mind that they close fairly early. Usually opening hours span from 2 pm to 1 am.
Hex – cafe mixed with pub for the board games enthusiasts

Since then they have presented about 400 different board games to their guests. Hex host board game competitions, they also have card games. On the occasions they organize Hearthstone tournaments – but you have to bring your own Smartphone or laptop to play. Sometimes they have special workshops for people interested in learning how to play board games. Also you can check out prototypes, that upcoming creators bring to the cafe. They even have their own game, called “Tawerna Hex”. You can also drink some niche beer and eat different meals. Hex is usually open to guests from 3 pm to midnight, but you have check whether they have spare seats before, because of the various events.
Wroclaw is highly focused on entertainment and art. It is a city for people of all ages, backgrounds and interests. One of the many ways in which it is extraordinary is an ever growing live music scene. Thanks to this, there’s a large amount of musical instrument stores in Wroclaw. If you are a musician, surely you are interested in finding out where to get supplies for maintenance of your instrument, or where to get a new one. Not only can you stock up on supplies, but you’ll also be able to post ads in all of them if you want someone to share your hobby with. Luckily, the staff consists of friendly people who are willing to help you on the journey to your musical adventure.
There are 3 main Musical Instrument Stores in Wroclaw. All of them are worth at least one visit, since you will surely find one that you prefer. Depending on your instrument of choice, your favorite one will be different.
Located in the Krzyki district on aleja Armii Krajowej 5 is the biggest Musical Instrument Store in Wroclaw. There is a guitar section with a large selection of instruments of all types, though bass players have a separate section which they must ask the staff to see. Guitarists will appreciate the large selection of Gibson and Fender guitars among others, one of the biggest in-stock collections of them in the country. That section also has an isolated amplifier room where you can test an electric guitar in peace. There is also a professional audio section near the entrance with cables, DJ equipment, lighting and various all-round accessories.
Upstairs are the studio, keyboard, drum and “other” sections. The staff is willing to provide customers with things that aren’t usually available, even if it’s something that isn’t made by the companies that they normally sell. They will always consider giving you a discount on bigger purchases if you ask about it. Sometimes they will surprise you with a much better price for buying supplies in bulk. This is the place to go for the best prices and to help solve your musical problems. You can also count on the staff to set up your instrument to your preference. It ranks among not only the best Musical Instrument Stores in Wroclaw, but also in the country.
Opening hours are 10a.m. – 6 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Hidden behind the new Academy of Arts building is the second largest musical instrument store in Wroclaw. Downstairs is the studio equipment and keyboard section and upstairs is the guitar, bass and drums section. While the choice is smaller than in Muzyczny.pl, it is also worth checking out. A large studio section is the perfect place for someone willing to set up their home studio. The staff is also knowledgeable and will gladly help you out. Remember – To play an instrument in this store, you must ask one of the workers to hand it to you. This store is great for guitar players. What is especially relevant for a beginner is that the instruments are well maintained by the staff.
The Address is 15 Traugutta Street. It is very close to the Galeria Dominikanska mall. Opening hours are 10a.m. – 6 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
The last big musical instrument store in Wroclaw is one from Poland’s biggest instrument retailer chain, Riff. It is located on 28 Piłsudskiego Street. It is easy to get there by tram or even on foot from the city center. Riff is mostly a guitar store, though there are keyboard and “other instruments” sections, with a basic choice of home studio equipment. You can however easily order whatever else you may need. It has two sections, an upstairs area with keyboards and some guitars, and a basement where you have more guitars and bass guitars with a separate amplifier section to plug in your instrument. It is worth seeing because they often offer instruments made by companies that the other stores don’t stock.
