Why we love Tamka?

Tamka Island ART HUB x CLUB

A few words about the place:

Tamka Island is one of the smallest Odra islands. Art Hub was created on five levels: the space in the building is shared with artists and friendly initiatives. It is treated by the owner as an artistic project outside of the purpose of co-creating various events taking place there. Art Hub is to be a platform on which not only all artists can gather, but also act together. In the building, in addition to the studio, there is a club and a bar (cafe). The common part in which takes place weekend cultural events, has been renovated.

5 natural landscapes of Poland

landscapes of Poland

1- PIENINY MOUNAINS NATIONAL PARK

HEART OF PIENINY MOUNTAINS

The Pieniny National Park is one of Poland’s national parks, a small park declared in 1932 that protects the heart of the Pieniny Mountains, a small mountain range located in the Lower Silesia Voivodship in the south of the country. If you are looking landscapes of Poland – this is it!

The national park is located in the southernmost part of Poland, on the border with Slovakia. The Pieniny mountain range is divided into three parts:

  • Pieniny Spiskie,
  • Male Pieniny
  • and Pieniny Właściwe (where the park is located).

The surface of the park is 23.46 km², of which it is covered with forests in 13.11 km². A third part (7.5 km²) are strictly protected.

2- ERRANT ROCKS

GET LOST IN THE STONE LABYRINTH

This amazing rock maze on the ridge of Skalniak (915 m altitude) is situated in the Stołowe Mountains National Park. The rock blocks are scattered on the area of 21.14 hectares and create a charming tourist route, which often forces us to squeeze through cracks between the rocks. Easy access from Kudowa Zdrój to Karłów by car or walking along the red trail – around 2.5 hours.

3- LAKE MORSKIE OKO

A LOST PARADISE

Is the largest and fourth-deepest lake in the Tatra Mountains. It is located deep within the Tatra National Park, Poland, in the Rybi Potok (the Fish Brook) Valley, of the High Tatras mountain range at the base of the Mięguszowiecki Summits, in Lower Silesia Voivodeship.

4- GIEWONT MOUNTAIN

THREE PEAKS, ONE MOUNTAIN

Giewont is a mountainous massif in the Tatra Mountains of Poland, and it has an altitude of 1,895 meters AMSL at its highest point. It comprises three peaks (all m / meters in AMSL):

  • Little Giewont – (Polish Mały Giewont, 1,728 m)
  • Great Giewont – (Wielki Giewont, 1,895 m)
  • Long Giewont – (Długi Giewont, 1,867 m).
  • There is a mountain pass located between Great and Long Giewont, known as Szczerba (1,823 m). It is located between the valleys (doliny) of Kondratowa, Małej Łąki and Strążyska.

Long Giewont and Great Giewont are located at a higher altitude than city of Zakopane, therefore, its are clearly visible from that city. At Great Giewont, there is a 15 m steel cross (erected in 1901) – the site of religious pilgrimages. The area is notorious for its dangerous nature during thunderstorms, so this should be taken into account when approaching the summit.

5- BIESZCZADY NATIONAL PARK

THE THIRD LARGEST NATIONAL PARK IN POLAND
Bieszczady National Park is the third largest national park in Poland, located in Subcarpathian Voivodeship in the extreme corner of the country, bordering Slovakia and Ukraine. Landscapes of Poland? This my favourite.
Forests cover about 80% of Bieszczady National Park. The woods are mainly natural; in some cases it can be said that they have preserved their pristine character. The highest peak in the park, Tarnica, is 1,346 metres (4,416 ft) above sea level.

Animal life is abundant with several species of endangered animals thriving in the area, among them:

  • bears,
  • wolves,
  • wildcats,
  • wild boars,
  • beavers,
  • otters,
  • and lynxes as well as deer,
  • moose and European bisons (around 100 live in the area).

The park contains interesting bird species, including eagles and owls, and is home to the largest Polish population of Aesculapian snakes.

The park is sparsely populated (less than 1 person per km²), which means that animals can roam freely. The region is very popular among tourists, but there are not many facilities. Around 70% of the park is regarded as strict preserve, which means that the use of trails is restricted. The park’s authorities promote walking trips.

4 contemporary buildings in Wroclaw for Instagram addicted.

Check this 4 contemporary buildings in Wroclaw to make outstanding Instagram photo profile.

NAWA pavilion

This architectural installation actually makes more sense if you take a closer look. NAWA pavilion was created by an innovative process of production – FIDU – based on air blowing of metal layers from two-dimensional to a three-dimensional object. The charming arch fits perfectly into its surroundings.

“The sculpture does not alter the wild character of the island. Quite the contrary: it amplifies the nature’s presence. Polished steel surface is reflecting its green surroundings, the river and historic architecture. Depending on the weather and time of the day, the sculpture looks different each time.”

Oskar Zieta, the architect of NAWA pavilion.

Sci-FI, abstract, fashion styles etc. The properties of NAWA are expending the scope for the photo shoot ideas. The appearance carries an idea emphasizes and complements the beauty of the surrounding nature worthy to be captured in the photo moments.

Hydropolis

Hydropolis is one of the architectural monuments of the water supply system. If you are aiming for a photo shoot in Hydropolis, then prepare to spend there even half of a day.

First of all, the area of the building is 5145.0 m2.

Secondly, the unique background for photography is in almost every corner of the interior and exterior of the building. Outside there is a 3D water performance. And the inner part – visualization immersing in the sciences studying water, its properties and significance in the life of the planet.

Silver Tower

Another contemporary building is rather less appear to be that universal but still potentially brings the difference. Furthermore, the building is located next to the railway station – the place which you also can combine with Silver Tower while picking a foreshortening.

Nanan the patisserie

This minimalistic miracle looks much like the sweet dream world. Delicate shining brass details, rosa aurora marble table tops, natural oak veneers and oak parquet floor. The deliberately minimalist interior provide a subtle setting for the protagonists: finely decorated sophisticated cakes and éclairs made with meticulous care.

And finally, the place in which you definitely wouldn’t feel mediocre while decide to make a food photo 🙂

Plants in Wroclaw – Tour around Wroclaw for plants enthusiassts

plants in Wroclaw

If you’re a fan of plants I invite you for non-obvious trip.
There is nothing more inseparable from humanity than nature. Nowadays, plants are becoming a very strong trend in fashion and indoor design; but today I want to pull you out of couch and make you go outside. I’d like to show you some places in Wroclav, where you can admire different kinds of plants.

Botanical Garden
First point on our tour map is Botanical Garden with Green House inside. The object is open between 2nd of April and 12th of November. During a few months, we can observe plants and flowers daily. And a ticket for student cost 10 PLN. Garden is located near well-known, historical Ostrów Tumski.

In Wroclav’s Garden you can admire cacti and other succulents in a historic Cactus House, as well as in two greenhouses where succulents of Africa and of Mexico are presented. Under the greenhouse’s roofs there is an impressive collection of exotic plants originating from warmer climatic zones. This is the best place to make “tropical” photos and breathe fresh air in the middle of the city.

Flower Shop

Leaving the Garden, we go to the newly opened place on the map of Wroclav. rośliny.  is a modern and minimalistic store. Here, the plants are in the spotlight. We can gain knowledge of how to take care about different types of plants and buy a beautiful seedling, too. I also recomand  you to find them on Instagram. They’re amazing.
rośliny.

Planty Mural
Next place we’re going to visit is a beautiful mural, located near Galeria Dominikańska. It has been painted on one of Wierzbowa Street’s walls, surrounded by modern office buildings.

Maze at Brochów
The last stop on the track is the Labyrinth at Wroclaw Brochów. The labyrinth that you will find in the park, today is a hornbeam labyrinth designed in the 1990s as part of a revitalization project. A walk through the maze is a game; it might give you some adrenalin. Having a long walk in the tunnel, after another turn you may come across a wall and have to turn back.

I hope you will enjoy my tips for spending your “green” day in Wroclaw!
